I think they wanted to use the midi so you could get instant feedback on how you were doing. I don't agree that it's expensive. Perfect pitch is twice as expensive with steep discounts. I also don't agree it's a "little" program. The breadth of instruction matches any product out there. Having said that, I will say that I recommend this program mostly for musicians to sharpen their theory skills and not for the absolute beginner. Do you have a recommendation for the beginner? Top notch program I'd recommend to anybody looking to sharpen their musical skills and increase their enjoyment of music.
