Jazz Bass Technique

One of the instruments that were recognized during past decades is the jazz. It has got deep relation to historic achievements as it was during this period music of time music gained its importance and people started to recognize the importance and impact of music in each and everyone’s life. This unique music art form originated in New Orleans in the year 1920 and this period is known as The Golden Era or The Jazz Era. The year 1920 is also known as the Jazz era as it was in this period of time people starting getting crazy about music. It was during this time different types of music started to originate. At the same time various musicians and band forms started to originate and thus lead to the establishment of them, one of the examples are the beetle’s band.

Jazz bass is referred as the second model next to electric bass guitar. This jazz bass was invented by Leo Fender who took long in figuring out this instrument. It is preferred over other instruments due to its defined and distinguishing loud sound. Another thing that makes it unique is the tone which is much richer and vivid even in the midrange. It has a very low importance on the basic harmonic tone. It is due to this very important reason many of the players of bass prefer jazz bass.

There are also other producers of jazz bass which include Modulud Vintage series, Sadowsky basses, Lakland basses, Valenti basses, Celinder basses, , Pensa basses, Suhr basses, and the Elrick New Jazz Standard.

In each of the jazz bass there are three different equalizer controls which are the bass and treble controls which are set by the base and the peak of the stacked double rheostat. The midrange is set by the second rheostat. Always the jazz bass is compared with the precision bass. Almost all the musicians prefer jazz bass over precision bass due to its tone quality and also due to sharpness and funkiness of the sounds produced. Such a tone is proves to be advantageous for finger style players as well as slap players. By the entry of jazz bass into the field of music and entertainment new styles and tones of music were introduced and were preferred by the population.

Learning jazz bass takes a great deal of time and also interest. Before stepping into such a task one should be clear of the interest the person has towards jazz and also should not step into such a task all because someone wants you to learn it. Learning jazz bass might do a great of help for all!
